B.S.B.A. in Accounting

Earn your Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting and prepare for a professional career in accounting, working through a curriculum centered on the traditional fields of auditing, income tax, managerial accounting, and not-for-profit accounting, plus emerging specialties like fraud examination and systems analysis.

Alongside your accounting coursework, you'll take classes in other business areas, plus the arts, humanities, sciences, and communications — the broad educational background that gives UL Lafayette accounting graduates an edge in today's business world. It's backed by one of only 175 accounting programs worldwide with AACSB accounting accreditation.

With an accounting degree, you can become an accountant — international, forensic, public, government, or management, among others — or work as an auditor, comptroller, consultant, tax accountant, forensic accountant, or budget analyst, and build toward a CFO role. Most graduates go on to take the CPA exam, which strengthens their standing with employers; our 120-credit-hour BSBA leaves you only 30 hours short of the 150 hours required to sit for it, a gap the online M.S. in Accounting is designed to close. Our graduates are recruited by regional and international accounting firms, corporations, banks and financial institutions, and agencies including the IRS. Read more accounting alumni stories.
