Campus Climate Survey Results

Explanation of Survey Instrument and Results

In the Fall of 2022, the first University of Louisiana at Lafayette Campus Climate Survey was administered by Viewfinder® Campus Climate Surveys. The survey period opened on October 17, 2022, and closed on November 15, 2022. Links to the survey instrument was emailed out to degree-seeking students and employees at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette by Viewfinder® Campus Climate Surveys.

The emails provided to Viewfinder® Campus Climate Surveys were anonymous, using only C-number emails. Extensive editing of the original survey supplied by Viewfinder® was conducted by the 2021-2022 Diversity Advisory Council, to align the survey questions with our institutional structure and to ensure the inclusion of survey questions related to populations of interest to the university (such as first-generation college students). The final survey questions were reviewed and approved by President Savoie.

Two separate surveys were conducted; one for students and one for employees. The survey instrument utilized logic; features that change survey behavior, appearance and content based the answers participants give. As a result of this, not all survey questions were answered by every participant. To protect the anonymity of our survey respondents, certain comments are not included in these results summaries.

Below are links to summaries of the survey results. If you have questions or additional inquiries about the survey instrument or these results, please contact inclusion@louisiana.edu.
