Host a Camp
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette offers a variety of resources for camp directors looking to host a camp on our campus.
Many of our top-notch facilities and campus services are available for camp directors to take advantage of in order to help create quality experiences that is rooted in the culture which makes our campus unique. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is committed to providing quality service and assistance to all of our camp directors from the start of the camp planning process to the execution of each camp.
University Affiliated Groups include camps managed by University Camps, Academic departments, Club Sports, and NCAA coaches.
Non-Affiliated Groups consist of organizations with no affiliation to the University. These camps can have any number of focuses – academic, athletic, recreation, etc. – and have no direct association with the University. These external groups lease campus facilities and services and are subject to standard pricing for any facility rental, on-campus housing, dining needs during the summer.
Overnight camps may utilize UL Lafayette’s on-Campus residence halls for any housing needs throughout the summer, usually at a better rate compared to other off-campus hotels. UL Lafayette’s residence halls offer suite-style housing with amenities such as in-suite bathroom, mini fridge, and microwave. Apartment-style housing is also an option.
Campus dining is available for camps to take advantage of upon request. Cypress Lake Dining Hall offers meals during the summer and offers a number of different meal options to suit a variety of dietary needs.
Catering is also available on campus through Louisiana Spice Catering. Louisiana Spice offers several package options and price points and can deliver anywhere on campus.
Recreational Sports at Bourgeois Hall provides camps with a first-class recreation experience while on campus. With facilities capable of supporting activities such as basketball, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, soccer and aquatics, camp directors (or customers) have a wide variety of options that they can request for their camps.
Along with Bourgeois Recreational Sports Center, many of UL Lafayette’s other facilities are available for use by summer camp customers upon request, including athletic venues, banquet spaces, conference rooms, theatre, etc. Availability of on-campus facilities are subject to the needs of other on campus groups.
Camps hosted at UL Lafayette have access to Transit services to help navigate our campus. Options include shuttle and on-campus transit as well as charter bus services for off-campus transit, depending on the size of each camp and the requested transportation needs.
Active Network is UL Lafayette’s official summer camps management software. Active Network allows camp directors to easily create custom camp websites and manage registrations and camper information all in one location.
NOTE: Active Network camp management software is required for all UL Lafayette affiliated camps. Non-UL Lafayette affiliated camps may use other software programs for their camp management.
