Learn. Teach. Engage. The UL Lafayette Piano Institute (ULPI) offers high‑quality piano instruction to the broader community while serving as a hands-on training ground for our Piano Pedagogy majors. Through private and group lessons, studio teaching, and public recitals, students refine their technique while practicing real-world pedagogy under expert faculty supervision.

Lesson Details
- The ULPiano Institute Director will arrange a brief interview to discuss the materials and teacher arrangements. Contact: ulpi@louisiana.edu
- 30-minute or 45-minute individual lessons schedule arranged between the instructor and the student
- Students receive a total of 13 lessons per semester in the Fall and Spring semester, and 5 lessons during the summer.
- Make-Up Lesson Policy: Make-up lessons may be offered at the instructor’s discretion when a student provides at least 24 hours’ notice of cancellation for a non-emergency absence.

Community Opportunities
All community members—from K–12 students to adults—are welcome to enroll in ULPI. While private lessons are offered at UL Lafayette, practice rooms are reserved for enrolled music students; ULPI students should plan for adequate at-home practice arrangements.
