About the Louisiana Educate Program

The Louisiana Educate Program was founded at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Fall 2018.

The first cohort of LEP scholars included 43 Orleans Parish public high school graduates. The program has grown substantially since its founding.

LEP has been recognized as “Program of the Year” by the Louisiana Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators (LACUSPA) and was nationally featured in Inside Higher Ed for “Leveling the Playing Field for Pell-Eligible Students.”
