Likes, followers mean high rankings for UL Lafayette social media

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Facebook page ranks No. 100 among more than 1,800 universities. Its Twitter ranking weighs in at No. 200 among about 1,750 schools.

That’s according to the recently released 2018 uniRank University Rankings. Its rankings are for four-year, accredited institutions in the United States, based on the number of followers of Facebook pages and Twitter accounts.

UL Lafayette’s Facebook page has 131,388 likes, while its Twitter account has 26,634 followers, UniRank reported.

“It’s gratifying to have so many people interested in what’s happening at UL Lafayette. We appreciate their engagement,” said Aimee Abshire, director of Web Communications at the University.

Based in Sydney, uniRank is a higher education directory and search engine that catalogs over 13,000 accredited colleges and universities worldwide.
