UL Lafayette To Welcome Students With Doughnuts, Block Party

Students at the University at Louisiana at Lafayette are being welcomed back to campus as courses are set to begin Aug. 25.

Welcome Week starts Aug. 25 when students will be greeted with doughnuts and fruit at the corner of Rex Street and St. Mary Boulevard. University administrators, coaches and student leaders will be handing out the treats from 8 to 10 a.m.

Other plans throughout the week include a Dive-In movie set for 8 p.m. at the Student Aquatic Center on Aug. 26 with Get on Board Day set for Aug. 27. Starting at 10 a.m. students can learn about campus organizations in the Quad.

On Aug. 28, students will find UPC leaders on Rex Street handing out giveaways and on Aug 29, students, faculty and staff can enjoy free breakfast in the Quad at 7:30 a.m. followed by a block party on Rex Street from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
