Fourteen Students Earn Perfect 4.0 GPAs

Fourteen students from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette were honored for perfect 4.0 grade point averages during Spring commencement exercises on May 19.

The fourteen were UL Lafayette’s top graduates for the Spring 2007 semester. They include:

• Estelle Latiolais Benoit, daughter of Bonnie Latiolais and the late Gary Latiolais of Breaux Bridge and wife of Jake Benoit of Breaux Bridge. Benoit received a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. She majored in dietetics.

• Nicole Marie Bergeron, is the daughter of Chester and Brenda Bergeron of St. Martinville. Bergeron received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. She majored in accounting.

• Brandon Keith Cahanin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith J. Cahanin of Rayne. Cahanin received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. He majored in accounting.

• Aimee Claire DeVillier, daughter of Chip and Rachael DeVillier of Carencro and fiancée of Jacob Delahoussaye of Lafayette. DeVillier received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. She majored in nursing.

• Micah Caleb Dugas, son of Ken and Debbie Dugas of Carencro. Dugas received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts. He majored in philosophy.

• Christine Ann Guidry, daughter of Patrick and Karen Guidry of Abbeville. Guidry received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. She majored in accounting.

• Lacey Virginia Harvey, daughter of Kenneth and Karen Harvey of Cecilia. Harvey received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts. She majored in sociology.

• Lindy Marie Lea, daughter of Denese and Don Lea of Lafayette. Lea received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts. She majored in mass communications/broadcasting.

• Melanie Marie Mier, daughter of Thomas and Valerie Mier of New Iberia. Mier received a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Sciences. She majored in biology.

• Marielle Elizabeth Phillips, daughter of Wynn and Joyce Phillips of Lafayette. Phillips received a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Liberal Arts. She majored in psychology.

• Catherine Elizabeth Riley, daughter of Cynthia B. Durand of Lafayette and Mark Riley of Lafayette. Riley received an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts. She majored in English.

• Ashley Walls Romero, daughter of Charles and Adele Walls of New Iberia and wife of Hunter Romero of Lafayette. Romero received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Education. She majored in elementary education (concentration in grades 1-6).

• Jeanne Therese Stutes, daughter of Rick and Danette Stutes of Duson. Stutes received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. She majored in nursing.

• Kristin Anne Thompson, daughter of Ken and Denise Thompson of Lakeland, La. Thompson received a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. She majored in dental hygiene.

Each semester the university recognizes its top graduates during Graduate School commencement exercises.
