Calling all secret chefs of Acadiana! You are invited to enter the UL Lafayette Alumni Association's Annual Tailgating Cook-off and Spirit Competition to be held during Homecoming 2005 on Oct. 29.

This year, cook-off and spirit competition are two separate events. Check-in for both competitions will be from 12 to 1 p.m. under the official Tailgating Cook-off/Spirit tent (Home Bank tent) near the Alumni Association tailgating area.

Participants must register for the competition and all entrants must be at least 21 years old. There is no entry fee. Cook-off participants will be given boxes at registration to be returned at 2 p.m. with three equal portions of their barbecue specialty. Participants will also receive their very own can of one-of-a-kind Ragin' Red Cajun Spice to use at their next cook-off competition.

Winners for both competitions will be announced at 3 p.m. at the tent. Winners will be announced for first, second, and third place in each category, bragging rights only.
