Business Administration Internships for Students

Published

The B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is offering several internship possibilities for business students during the Spring 2005 semester.

The primary objective of the business internship program is to provide meaningful on-the-job experience in a career related field.

The internships ease the transition from the classroom to the work world for students and help develop personal work ethics. In addition, internships provide a record of work experience for students and allows three semester hours of credit per enrollment period.

For businesses, internships provide a pool of high-quality, potential employees and also establishes a link between the business and the university for future academic interaction. In addition, internships provide an opportunity for businesses to assess the actual performance of potential employees at minimal cost and risk.

Students must be enrolled in a major program of study in the B. I. Moody III College of Business Administration to participate. They also must have a minimum adjusted 2.5 GPA and be in upper division and at least Junior standing in the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration.
