| EVENT: Ribbon cutting for American Institute of Steel Construction Monument DATE: Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009 TIME: 11:30 a.m. LOCATION: outside of Madison Hall along Rex Street INFORMATION: The College of Engineering will cut the ribbon on the American Institute of Steel Construction monument located next to Madison Hall. The monument is a teaching aide in the design and construction of structural steel. Approximately 150 monuments currently exist at various engineering campuses in the U.S. UL Lafayette’s monument was donated by David Huval and E.R. DesOrmeaux, both engineering alums.
